Vanessa Aldrich is a classically trained soprano (opera, concert, song) living in New York City. She attended the University of California, Berkeley where she studied Music and Political Science, and later pursued a graduate degree in Opera at The Longy Conservatory of Music, in Cambridge, MA. She’s also completed actor trainings at the Berkeley Repertory Theater and The Terry Schreiber School in NYC. You can learn more about her singing career here.
On the operatic stage she inhabits beloved characters with depth and commitment. As a recitalist, she creates programs that weave together unlikely themes from her other passions– fashion, spirituality, history, and philosophy – inviting new audiences into the world of classical repertory.
A lifelong student of world religion, mysticism, philosophy, and myth, she always craves to be guided and stabilized by a deeper, more archaic wisdom. No matter the medium, her creative work hovers somewhere at the intersection of all of this, reinterpreting these classic teachings through the lens of creativity, and making it accessible to the modern audiences and fellow artists.
Vanessa is founder of a vibrant creativity community, A Note From Self, and co-founder and Creative Director of Mystica Salon, a dinner salon and lecture series that hosts events at art and cultural institutions in NYC and London.
She has a vibrant and engaged following of 50k+ on TikTok, which focuses on inspiring artists of every sort into a deeper, more courageous commitment to their craft.
